‘7th Heaven’ Star Mackenzie Rosman Heads to the Big Screen

By · Monday, November 9th, 2009 · No Comments »

Do you remember Mackenzie Rosman? She used to play adorable little Ruthie Camden on 7th Heaven but now she’s all grown up and ready to take on more mature roles. The 19-year-old actress will be starring in the new Edgar Allan Poe film, known as Edgar Allan Poe’s Ligeia, in which she will play the role of Loreli.

The R rated film is about a successful writer named Jonathan Merrick (Wes Bentley) who falls under the spell of the bewitchingly beautiful Ligeia (Sofya Skya), who is fighting a fatal illness. In attempt to defeat death, Ligeia steals other people’s souls and drags Jonathan into her dark, mysterious world.

Prior to be being cast in Edgar Allan Poe’s Ligeia, Rosman guest starred in one episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager
as the character Zoe— her first TV appearance after starring on 7th Heaven for 11 years.

Mackenzie Rosman, who is steering away from goody-goody roles, could might as well be one of the new up and comers in Hollywood depending on critics’ reaction to her latest movie. But just in case this turns out to be a big flop, she’s already working on yet another horror thriller entitled Fading of the Cries, which is expected to hit theaters next year.

Check out both trailers of Mackenzie Rosman’s new films below:

7th Heaven Actor Gets Hit with Restraining Order

By · Sunday, September 20th, 2009 · No Comments »

From a wholesome show like 7th Heaven to allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Andrew Keegan won’t be making any friends at the pearly gates. The actor, who you also may recognize from the cute movie 10 Things I Hate About You (he was also in a bunch of episodes of Party of Five in the 90s) has been slapped with a restraining order by his former girlfriend.

According to E! Online, model Kristi Parrales alleges that Andrew “physically attacked” her twice, and “threw me across the living room in front of witnesses.” She also claims that her former love stalks her at work, “calling her names and giving her evil looks.”

We agree — that does sound creepy.

What is it with all of these young guys getting violent with their girlfriends? Where are they learning that this is okay?

7th Heaven Beauty Breaks Silence

By · Sunday, September 20th, 2009 · No Comments »

I am a very big fan of the amazingly gorgeous beauty Jessica Biel. But I had never seen any of her interview, recently I saw an interview of her that was conducted some time back.

Here we go with 7th Heaven beauty’s interview. When she was asked about coming back to the small screen, she said that she is happy doing movie and she enjoys doing them more than anything else.Seems like Biel has no plans to appear in TV show!!!

She believes that people can not picture her as anything other than the character she portrays while she was appearing in TV shows.

But its no like that she doesn’t loves TV. Talking over this, she said, “I love TV and had a great time. I don’t know if I would come back right now because I like traveling around doing movies.”

Even she isn’t sure about her return. Sounds as if she had a bad time with the TV!

However if we consider the outcomes of her appearance on TV, undoubtedly we can say that she attained heights from these appearances, especially with her appearance on the super hit TV series, 7th Heaven.

Whereas her perception over this is little different from this. Over this she said, “When people see you every week in their home, they think they know you and producers don’t think you can do anything else. I wanted to show that I could be more. I can be a vampire slayer and I can be a damsel in distress.”

That’s part of life. Anyways, let’s see what she said next.

Biel was also asked about her studies and while talking over it, she showed her interest in continuing her studies further. She said, “I left before picking a major so I was taking classes that were just interesting. I would love to go back. It’s important for me to finish and I don’t know why. If I don’t do it then I will regret it. My younger brother is in college and he will graduate before me. That pisses me off.”

That was Jessica Biel. Trust me guys, I miss her and 7th Heaven as well. If you too miss them both, then click here to download 7th Heaven episodes.

7th Heaven TV Series Summary

By · Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 · No Comments »

One of the most atypical weekly series to emerge from the Aaron Spelling TV factory, 7th Heaven, created by Spelling and Brenda Hampton, has eschewed the sex-and-sin shenanigans of such series as Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place in favor of honest, three-dimensional family values, with generous doses of warmth, heart, humor, and pathos. There can be no doubt that this fundamentally wholesome program has struck a universal chord.

The series has not only been lavishly praised by critics, honored by such organizations as the Parents Television Council, the Academy of Religious Broadcasting, and the Anti-Defamation League, and given innumerable industry awards, but it is also one of the most successful offerings of the WB network; indeed, it was the first WB series to run more than seven seasons, and during four of those seasons, it was the network’s highest-rated show. Set in the suburban L.A. community of Glen Oak, the series revolves around the Camden family, headed by Eric Camden (Stephen Collins), pastor of the town’s Community Church, and Eric’s homemaker wife, Annie (Catherine Hicks). In the tradition of The Waltons, loyal 7th Heaven viewers have enjoyed the rare privilege of watching the Camden children grow up before their very eyes. When the series debuted on August 26, 1996, handsome and personable Matt Camden (Barry Watson) was 17 years old; basketball-playing Mary Camden (Jessica Biel) was 13 going on 14; intellectual, inquisitive Lucy Camden (Beverley Mitchell) was 12; happy-go-lucky Simon Camden (David Gallagher) was ten; and precocious Ruthie Camden (Mackenzie Rosman) was five.

By the time the series entered its eighth season, the three oldest Camden kids were married and pursuing careers, while the two youngest were seasoned veterans of the school dating scene. (Two more Camden youngsters, twin boys Sam and David, were born halfway through the 1998-1999 season). All of the Camdens, parents included, have had more than their share of setbacks and tragedies (some of them absolutely devastating) as the series has rolled forward, but somehow all of the members of the clan, from patriarch Eric on down, have been able to recover, rally, and persevere with the help and support of their family and friends — not to mention their inner faith.

And unlike so many other TV series which traffic in personal interrelationships, the characters in 7th Heaven are very much a part of the “real” world. During its lengthy WB run, the series has exposed its principals to a wide variety of contemporary issues: teen suicide, racial prejudice, substance abuse, drunken driving, homelessness, negative peer pressure, teen pregnancy, Alzheimer’s disease, the Holocaust, the war in Iraq, and the crisis in the Sudan. Eminently suitable for viewers of all ages, but never a mere sop to the “kiddie” trade nor a placebo for the clean-up-TV brigades, 7th Heaven has been and will likely always remain the jewel in the WB crown.
